Our newest edition to our line up of box newels is the 4491 5" plain box newel.  This box newel is just the right size for many wanting the look of a box newel, but who are limited in space.  The 4491 is available in red oak as a standard grade (contractor grade) box newel.  This new newel is available with either a pointy top or a flat top.  The bottom on this newel is a sleeve with a solid post passing through it.  This allows the post to be cut to the right height without changing the look of the newel significantly.  Check out the 4491 box newel.  You'll be glad you did.
